Below you can find powerpoints and activities designed around the Total English Upper-Intermediate Textbook. Very few of them actually use the textbook. Instead, they take the grammar and vocabulary objectives from the textbook, explain them in a straightforward way, and include productive activities (usually speaking) to practice. I would recommend using the book as a supplement--in particular, the exercises are useful to ensure that students understand a given objective.
These materials were developed in my year teaching Upper-Intermediate English at the University of Piura in Peru. Many of the powerpoints have the university logo, though it is easy enough to delete. I don't own copyrights for any of these materials, and at times I borrowed from resources I found online. Keeping in mind how fantastic it is to find a ready-made, well-designed teaching resource, my only hope is to repay my debts to the teachers that came before and share my materials with other teachers who may appreciate not having to reinvent the wheel.
Note: Many of the powerpoints have videos embedded inside. To use them, you should only have to download the video and save it in the same folder as the powerpoint.
